Ingredients

Apple Pie Dip
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 apples peeled and finely diced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Cinnamon Sugar Chips
  • 6 flour tortillas
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 0.5 cup cinnamon sugar

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Make the apple pie dip
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and set a sheet pan aside for baking the chips.
  2. Beat the cream cheese, brown sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Toss the diced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon, then fold in half of the apple mixture into the cream cheese.
  4. Spread the dip into a serving dish and top with the remaining apple mixture.
Bake cinnamon sugar tortilla chips
  1. Brush the flour tortillas with melted butter and sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar.
  2. Cut the tortillas into wedges and bake for 8-10 minutes at 350°F until crisp and golden.
  3. Serve the crisp chips alongside the chilled apple pie dip.

Notes

Dice the apples small so they scoop up easily with the chips. For best texture, chill the dip at least overnight (up to 2 days) before serving; the chips are best eaten the same day. Store leftover dip covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, and refrigerate is yes; freezing is not recommended for the dip texture. Dietary swap: use dairy-free cream cheese to make a dairy-free version while keeping the same method.
