Make the apple filling
- Toss the diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl until evenly coated.
Assemble the pie bombs
- Flatten each biscuit dough round into a disc.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture and one caramel candy in the center of each disc.
- Fold the dough around the filling and pinch to seal completely.
Air fry
- Brush each ball with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.
- Air fry at 350°F for 8-10 minutes until golden brown, turning once if needed for even browning.
Cool and serve
- Let cool slightly before serving because the caramel center will be very hot.
Notes
Seal the dough completely—this helps prevent caramel from leaking out during air frying. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; reheat in the air fryer at 300°F for 3-5 minutes to re-crisp. Freezing is not recommended for best texture. For a lighter option, use reduced-sugar caramel candies and slightly reduce the amount of cinnamon sugar coating.
