Ingredients

Dry mix
  • 4 cup cereal squares
  • 2 cup pretzels
  • 1 cup mixed nuts
Coating
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
Finish
  • 1 Candy corn

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Bake the crunchy mix
  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F and line a sheet pan for easy cleanup.
  2. Mix the cereal squares, pretzels, and mixed nuts in a large bowl until evenly combined.
  3. Stir the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until glossy, then pour over the mix and toss to coat.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to toast evenly and dry out the coating.
  5. Cool completely, then add the candy corn for bright, crunchy pops.

Notes

Cool the snack mix completely before adding candy corn and serving—this is what locks in maximum crunch. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days; freeze is not recommended for best texture. For a lighter option, swap the butter for a 1:1 baking fat alternative or use reduced-fat butter to lower calories.
