Ingredients
Method
Mix the cheese base
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, sliced green onions, and garlic powder until evenly blended.
Chill and shape
- Shape the mixture into a ball, then chill for 1 hour so it becomes firm for easy coating.
Coat with pecans and decorate
- Roll the chilled cheese ball in the chopped pecans to fully coat the outside with a crunchy layer.
- Add pretzel sticks and candy corn feathers on top to form the turkey look.
Serve
- Serve the turkey cheese ball with crackers for dipping.
Notes
Chill until firm before rolling in pecans so the coating sticks cleanly and the shape holds. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; freeze is not recommended because the texture can loosen after thawing. For a lighter option, use reduced-fat cream cheese and reduced-fat cheddar while keeping the same chilling time for best structure.
