Method

  1. Crush the Oreos finely until they resemble fine crumbs, creating a uniform texture for the centers.
  2. Mix the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese until fully combined and thick, with no dry pockets.
Shape and chill
  1. Roll the mixture into balls and place them on a sheet pan, leaving space between each for even chilling.
  2. Chill the balls for 30 minutes so they firm up and the chocolate sets quickly.
Dip and decorate
  1. Melt the white chocolate melting wafers until smooth, glossy, and fully liquid.
  2. Dip each chilled ball into the melted white chocolate, letting excess drip off for a clean coating.
  3. Set the dipped balls back on the sheet pan and draw ghost faces with black icing for a clear, spooky look.

Notes

Chill the rolled balls well so the chocolate sets quickly and the coating stays thick. Store covered in the refrigerator up to 3 days; freeze the un-dipped balls up to 1 month, then thaw in the fridge before dipping. For a dairy-free option, use dairy-free cream cheese and dairy-free white chocolate melting wafers (texture may be slightly softer).
